Desperate Adam
Yesterday, evil stroked the elementary school in Newtown USA.
While I am extremely sad about the victims, I am thinking about the 20 years
old murderer. What was missing in the life of this 20 years old young man that caused him to commit to such a
horrendous crime? Did he not know it was against the law and the consequences afterwards? Well, who cares about those things when desperation hits...Adam, the criminal, was in despair, having given
no hope, he turned recklessly and produced a truly horrible disaster. It must
have been a very dark place where he was, I can only imagine.
While many kids are making their wish lists for the upcoming Christmas, I am telling mine to think about something else first. Materials goods worth nothing compares to the love and
time that we happily devote to the people around us. There are other
Adams out there in the community. Tune-up our senses to find desperate kids when they are still little and we shower them with genuine love and care. It takes a village to raise a child - better through love and care than through blame and neglect.
I pray that more people get to learn about God’s amazing
grace and not rush into condemnation. Most importantly, I hope more will wake up knowing that they can make their own choice to either turn
to the promises of God's love or continue wandering in the worldly paths where no satisfaction can ever be found.
great point of view.
