An incredible heart of a four years old
Gemma had been under a lot of pressure lately as my pain was so irritating so was my mood. A little bit of misbehaviour from her could get me angry and kick off my nagging mode.
Before bedtime tonight, I asked Gemma how she felt about today. Tears filled up her eyes, she said to me that she loved me but she felt that she didn't do anything right. She wanted me to be happy and proud of her.
Just when I was going to take her in my arms, she said something more..."Mommy, you can be me because I only have one pain on my cheek and only if I press it very hard like this. I can be you, and I can go to have your seven injections like you had today and also the one you had the other day. I can have all your pain all over on me and it's okay." So I cried. Big time.
Gemma started crying too and she brought some tissues for both of us. I asked her again why she wanted to be me as I almost couldn't believe what I heard. "Because I love you and I want to get the injections so you don't have to."
I held her firmly. She gently pushed me away and told me to watch out for my back in case I would get pain. I looked at her eyes and told her that she's the BEST girl in the whole world and no mother can be prouder and happier with a daughter whose heart so pure.

I just went to cuddle Gemma again.
She was probably just trying so hard to make me feel well, but instead, she did some clumsy mistakes as any little kid would. We were both under pressure due to my sickness.
I pray God to bless Gemma because she is the one who teaches me to be a better mother/human being. Can't wait to see her waking up tomorrow morning.
