Bush and Raining Days

Two things happened and shut down the whole city of Dubai - the visit of President Bush and the heavy rain. So the residents of UAE were off from schools and works for two days due to the security reason. They shut down all activities for ordinary people to avoid any possible lunatic behaviour toward the friendly and approachable President Bush.

As for the rain, it's hardly categorized as heavy rainfall in the meteorology world. I wonder how many people in the desert own umbrellas at home? We still have ours that are from London.

It was raining on and off since this morning, and I truly enjoyed watching the grey and cloudy sky, reminds me of home. I was also happy that it didn't happen yesterday because I had an outdoor photo session.

Everything seems to slow down a bit. Everything but not everyone...one little body here has been busy walking - and that's Oskar! He's been on his two feet instead of four for the past week. He still crawls when he needs the speed.

Oskar's favourite movement is to stand up and dance. He does that before he takes his step and walks off. His dance movement is waving both his hands in the air - kind of like when people hear the "What's going on" song in the pub. You know, when the singer shouts ~Hay ay ay ay~what's going on~~~ :-D
