Back from Taipei
Life after having kids goes much faster than without them(money also goes out faster too...)
Other than feasting almost every day during our holiday in Taiwan, we also enjoyed quite a bit of outdoor life. The weather was hot, but not nearly hot enough compared to life in the desert. When our friends were off at the weekend, we met up and hanged out like the good old days.
Although there was no complaint, I wasn't sure if my parents had just enough of Oskar's wailing. Before our trip, I was worried that Gemma would feel left out if grandpa and grandma gave too much attention to the younger one. I turned out that I was thinking too much. My parents were not fans of Oskar's stubborn attitude and loud screaming. Then Gemma came and sat next to them with a sweet smile and politeness. What a nice behaved little lady, they always commented. I'm very proud of Gemma who has made her grandparents very happy (and also proud of Oskar too for being the way he is.)
Another thing we did on our trip was a family photo session in a typical Taiwanese way. All of us were professionally done up. Since I am always been the one who took photos, I have very little photos of me with the children. We were really happy with the result. Other than the one posted here, the other photos can be seen here.
We have returned to our home in the oasis for a week now. I am having quite a homesickness and am feeding myself way too many desserts. I have to remind myself to watch my weight by looking at the mirror instead of the photos from Taiwan(they were airbrushed by the professionals.)
