Arabian Summer
It is HOT.
The temperature has stayed 42C+ in the day and 38C in the evening. It was a few weeks ago that I enjoyed a bit of a cool breeze brushing through my face. I can't recall how it feels like now.
Hot air, hot sun and boiling hot seatbelt buckles...the sum of Arabian summer.
Kids still wanted to go out and play. Gemma got her big girl bike on her birthday and haven't got a chance to ride it(to her heart's content.)
I set up a balcony pool. Both Gemma and Oskar loved it! They really don't need a lot of toys when they have each other. Those"educational" toys grabbed their attention for no more than 15 mins or so. Yet, they could spend hours next to a sandpit digging or in the small pool playing pretending coffee shop.
It's only 3 weeks away from our summer holiday, and we will be heading to Taipei. Oskar will be meeting his grandparents for the first time and all of our relatives and friends. Gemma really looks forward to playing with Mimi and Fifi, her dear cousins.
I can't wait to be home. I have bought some typical Arabian items and are packing them up now.
It will also be hot in Taipei, and I wonder how often my parents would let us turn on the air conditioner (the electricity bill has raised 30% just recently over there.) At least, there will be delicious shaved ice to indulge.
