March

Lately, I have been calling home a lot due to the frequent hospital visits and hearing the voices from mom and dad give me strength. Writing posts on blogger moved down on the priority list because I spoke to my parents quite often. I also couldn't seem to find enough time to make the blog. When I did get to sit and use the Internet, my mind was already half asleep and couldn't even type up a sentence that made sense.
After the most recent visit to Dr Bassel(the new caretaker of my illness), I was told to start another course of painkiller. This new drug is the 14th one that is prescribed to me during these couple months of treatment. Since the illness relates to the dysfunctioning of my immune system, they are trying different treatments to get one that responses the best. Am I a lab rat now?
I read about the news and controversy for this particular painkiller which I have been given. The new regulation is purposed to get this one off the market. Well, as long as it will work to take the aches off me, I'll bury my head in the sand for the time being.
Every night I go to bed is like I am going to an expedition. The med is giving me vivid dreams. I try to pay attention to the little details. So far I've forgotten most of them but I do remember George Clooney made an appearance.
The very fabulous thing about March is Gilosa - our domestic helper. She is the answer to my prayers. No more grumpy and struggle days with the two kids. With someone taking care of the household chores, kids are I can really enjoy some quality time. Mikael has begun to find his way back to the long-gone Hercules days by doing his morning gym activities. Absolutely a wonderful start for him after having his birthday this month!
Another fab is that my photography business has gone very well lately. My clients are both westerners and UAE nationals. Unfortunately, I can't show all the lovely photographs that I've shot for the local babies and families. It's such a pity they are really beautiful people. And behind those mysterious black cover(abaya) are very tender and loving mothers. I feel lucky to be welcomed to their homes(very lavish homes of some) to photograph their babies and also get an insight into the local culture.
