On this day, our little boy is checking out the Hotel Belly Chang and checking in to the real world.

In another 10 hours, I will be going to Oasis Hospital in Al Ain, UAE to have my 2nd C-section to bring out our baby number 2. From our previous ultrasound, we learned that the little man's belly cord was wrapped around his neck. Dare not to take any risk, we decided to have a C-section. Our doctor, Dr Arnold Jacob couldn't agree more and booked us on this Sunday at 8am.

At the moment, I am certainly excited about seeing my little guy soon, but I am also VERY nervous. Still having the memory from my previous C-section (even though it was more than 3 years ago), I am not looking forward to laying on that stainless steel cutting board.

Most people are telling me that it is going to be OK and it's much easier than a long haul natural birth....but but but...I am the one who's gonna do this. :~(

Well, we let Gemma painted on my belly. She had a ball!!! Daddio took some last photos.

I will be staying in the hospital for 3 nights and returning on Wednesday. For the following 30 days, I will be doing what the Chinese called the "sitting month". I will eat special food cooked with Chinese herbal medicine that my dad got me while I was in Taiwan. Loads of pork liver, chicken, eggs and fish will be consumed too (sorry to animals.)  Everything will be cooked with sesame oil and/or ginger with no salt or any other seasonings. We have also hired a helper to do most of the housework and to take care of the newborn and me. My mother in law is here to play with Gemma - they are having fun with each other! So all is set.

Now I will sign off and finalise the preparation for the big day tomorrow.
