Saying Good-Bye to London

This love 'n' hate feeling about London makes saying good-bye harder than I thought...

Yesterday I couldn't wait to get out of the city even with only a few days left
. I was shouted at by a psycho bus driver who treated me as some stupid asian immigrant who doesn't understand English.
This full-of-rage driver was pounding on his ticket window and yelling at me to get off his bus because he didn't want Gemma's stroller to get on. Not until I finally got a moment between his loud cursing and told him that I'd fold the stroller, he took my ticket and let us in. I looked at the passagers on the bus, they look as dull as usual - except some youngsters(3 boys & 1 girl) whose age not older than eleven or twelve, sitting by us and making out & making "making out" noise. I felt so nauseating. Thank buddah we're moving outta here!
Yet, today I feel sad about leaving London...It's a beautiful summer day with a soothing temperature around 28°C. Gemma and I met with Danielle and Helen in Starbucks to have breakfast. We chatted, laughed and enjoyed each other's company like we always do. Danielle and Gemma played so nicely together, and it was so fun to watch them being happy.
At lunch time, Gemma and I walked to Unohana* to get some fresh made sushi and bento box(*a Japanese grocery store about 2 minutes away from our flat)...YUM! Life is good in the city.

I must mention about how great the area we live. There are clothes stores, supermarkets, gym, local library and etc. We have about 20 places where we can get things to eat, from fast-food to proper restaurants, and from oriental food to fancy European dishes. A huge park with animals and ponds is about 5 minutes walk, and it is a perfect place to take a walk or have a Sunday picnic with friends and family.

The near by tube station is a stone's throw away and the tube line brings us to central London in less than 20 minutes. Plenty of bus routes outside our building take us to all kinds of interesting places inner or outer London. We could have paid twice or three times rent for a flat like ours in this area, but we were blessed to find our flat with 3 bedrooms and hardwood floor for the rent of a studio apartment. :-) Very Lucky!

I snapped some shots around our building earlier today so I can post them on the blog...My beloved "Bank Mansions" on Golders Green Crescent, right above Lloyds Bank on a busy high street, and strangely, with a cash machine just under the used-to-be fireplace in our livingroom that we like to joke about if ever we need money...hee hee hee...
I will miss this flat very much of all the happy days we spent here, including Gemma's first step, first word... and the two very first birthday parties held for Gemma with all our dear friends we met in London. oooxxx.
